BARINUTRICS™ CALCIUM CHEWY BITES are specifically formulated for bariatric surgery patients, delivering 500 mg of calcium and 12.5 μg (500 IU) of vitamin D in a great tasting, chocolate-flavoured chew.

Calcium supports healthy bones and teeth and nervous system, while vitamin D helps to maintain healthy muscles, bones and immune system function.
BARINUTRICS™ CALCIUM CHEWY BITES contain calcium citrate as it is more bioavailable than other forms of calcium, and is recommended for bariatric surgery patients as it does not require stomach acid for absorption. It can be taken at any time of the day, with or without food, while other forms of calcium need to be taken with food for absorption. Added vitamin D3 supports calcium absorption, helps maintain healthy vitamin D status and keeps bones strong.
Bariatric surgery patients are recommended to consume 1200-1500 mg calcium per day in divided doses of 500 mg serves. Patients who have undergone biliopancreatic diversion with duodenal switch are recommended to consume 1800-2400 mg calcium per day.
Ingredients
Maltitol syrup (55%), calcium citrate (42%), coconut oil (1%), palm oil, natural flavour (coconut) (0.5%), mono and diglycerides, soy lecithin, sea salt, vitamin D and sucralose.
Free from dairy protein, lactose, eggs, gluten, wheat, nuts, yeast, and soy protein.
Free from artificial colours, flavours and preservatives. Excess consumption my have a laxative effect.
Directions
